Sustainability

How We Sustain.

No ads. No tracking. No data brokers. Oxiverse is funded by mechanisms that align with user privacy, not against it.

Our North Star

Every revenue mechanism must pass one test: Does this preserve user privacy and autonomy? If the answer is no, we don't build it.

How We Monetize

The core product stays free. Monetization happens on top — new features, premium plugins, and services can be priced accordingly when needed. The three mechanisms below are examples of how we sustain the ecosystem, not the limit. Operators and interns are encouraged to invent new monetization techniques that follow the OCL License and the Oxiverse Constitution.

Operators & Interns

These are examples only. Operators and interns may introduce new monetization techniques beyond them — pricing new features, premium plugins, or services — provided they strictly follow the OCL License and the Oxiverse Constitution. The core stays free; new features can be monetized as needed.

🛒

Sovereign Commerce

When users express purchase intent through search, we match them with relevant products from merchant-direct affiliate programs — no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no third-party cookies. The merchant pays a commission only when a sale occurs. Users stay anonymous; we never share PII.

  • ✓ Merchant-direct relationships only
  • ✓ No ad exchanges or RTB
  • ✓ Zero user profiling
  • ✓ Transparent commission model

Developer APIs

Programmatic access to IntentForge's intent extraction, search, and ranking capabilities. Usage-based pricing — pay for what you consume. No monthly minimums, no lock-in. Build privacy-first search into your own products.

  • ✓ Per-request or volume pricing
  • ✓ No data retention on our end
  • ✓ OpenAPI specs, SDKs
  • ✓ Self-serve dashboard

Commercial Licensing

Companies can buy a Commercial License to self-host the Oxiverse Software (any Oxiverse service) commercially in closed-source form — that closed-source self-hosting license is the commercial product Oxiverse sells (Section 2A(b-i)). It also covers enhanced hosted-service use (white-label, redistribution, SLA, support). Your deployment stays closed-source; no open-washing required. The free alternative is to release the ENTIRE stack under OCL or an OSI-approved open source license (Section 2A(b-ii) & 3A) — then no paid license is needed.

  • ✓ Closed-source self-hosting license (the paid product)
  • ✓ White-label & redistribution of hosted service
  • ✓ SLA & priority support
  • ✓ Custom feature development & integration
  • ✓ Free full-source self-hosting alternative (OCL or OSI-approved OSS)
